"Red Bull in Urgent Need of Solutions for Driver Selection"

"Red Bull in Dire Need of Solutions for Driver Selection"

Red Bull Racing chief Christian Horner expressed that his Formula One team is in dire need of solutions regarding its imbalanced driver pairing.

Max Verstappen, a three-time world champion, continues to lead the standings with six races remaining, while his teammate Sergio Perez trails far behind in eighth place.

In contrast, the top two drivers at McLaren Mercedes, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, hold second and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr. occupy third and fifth place.

The addition of seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari in 2025 is expected to make them even more formidable.

Currently, McLaren holds a 41-point lead over Red Bull in the F1 constructor standings.

Horner stated to Motorsport.com, "We desperately need answers. When you look at our competitors, Ferrari will have a strong lineup next year with Hamilton and Leclerc, and McLaren's lineup of Norris and Piastri is also strong."

Verstappen has achieved seven wins and 331 points this season, while his teammate Perez has yet to secure a win and has only accumulated 144 points.

"We need to ensure that there is not a significant gap between our two drivers because we cannot afford to have that," Horner emphasized.
