"Max Verstappen's F1 Future Not at the Forefront of His Mind"

"Max Verstappen Focused on Present, Not Dwelling on F1 Future"

Max Verstappen stated that he is not considering his future in Formula One beyond his current season with Red Bull Racing.

According to reports, the three-time world champion and current leader in F1 points has clauses in his contract that would allow him to switch teams in 2026, two years before his contract expires.

In an interview published by Motorsport on Tuesday, Verstappen said, \"I am aware that it is possible to leave, but it is not something I am thinking about right now. I have enough on my plate trying to improve in other areas.\"

He added, \"We will see what happens in the future. At the moment, I am not giving it too much thought. If it doesn't happen, then so be it. It won't have a major impact on my life.\"

The 27-year-old has won seven races this season, but has not secured a victory since the Spanish Grand Prix in June. The F1 season resumes this weekend with the United States GP in Austin, Texas.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has expressed interest in Verstappen, while Aston Martin is also a potential destination for the Dutch driver.
