"Haas secures Esteban Ocon with long-term contract"

"Haas Secures Long-Term Agreement with Esteban Ocon"

Haas is introducing France's Esteban Ocon to its Formula One squad for 2025 and beyond.

The American team revealed on Thursday that Ocon has signed a multi-year contract, joining 19-year-old newcomer Oliver Bearman to form the driver lineup for the upcoming season.

Currently, Ocon races for Alpine.

"I am extremely excited to start this new chapter in my F1 career and join a determined racing team whose drive, dedication, and undeniable progress has truly impressed me," Ocon shared on social media.

At 27 years old, Ocon has won the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2021 and is now the first Formula One race victor to join Haas. He previously worked with team principal Ayao Komatsu during a test with Lotus as a junior in 2014.

"It was crucial for us to have an experienced driver alongside Oliver Bearman next year, but Esteban is only 27 - he is still young and has a lot to prove," Komatsu stated. "I believe we have a determined and dynamic driver duo and I am eagerly anticipating Esteban's arrival at Haas for 2025."

Current Haas team members Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen will be leaving at the end of the 2024 season. Hulkenberg will be driving for Sauber next year, while Magnussen has not yet announced his plans.
