The prestigious Monaco Grand Prix will remain a fixture in the Formula 1 calendar until at least 2031, following a six-year extension agreement between the Automobile Club of Monaco and Formula 1 on Thursday.

The iconic race through the winding streets of Monte Carlo will take place from May 23-25, 2025, marking the 75th anniversary of its official debut in the F1 world. Starting in 2026, the event will be moved to the first weekend in June.

\"I am thrilled that Formula 1 will continue to grace the streets of Monaco until 2031,\" stated Stefano Domenicali, the president and CEO of F1.

\"The Monte Carlo circuit is one-of-a-kind and an integral part of Formula 1's history. The Monaco Grand Prix is a race that every driver dreams of winning. This agreement signifies a new era of collaboration and innovation between Formula 1 and Monaco.\"

Monaco-born Charles Leclerc, who races for Ferrari, triumphed in his home race from the pole position this year.

\"The signing of this new agreement with the Formula 1 Group until 2031 not only solidifies our strong relationship, but also reaffirms our commitment to providing all spectators with an unparalleled, top-notch experience during race weekends,\" declared Michel Boeri, president of the Automobile Club of Monaco.

\"The Monaco Grand Prix is the most significant sporting event in our country and continues to attract hundreds of thousands of spectators to the principality, as well as millions of viewers worldwide through television broadcasts.\"
