The Dallas Stars have activated center Tyler Seguin from long-term injured reserve in preparation for Wednesday's final regular-season game against Nashville.

Seguin, who is 33 years old, underwent hip surgery on December 5th and has been out of play since December 1st. His status for the game against the Predators will be determined closer to game time.

The Stars are set to face the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Before his injury, Seguin had accumulated 20 points (nine goals, 11 assists) in 19 games. The six-time All-Star has a career total of 808 points (360 goals, 448 assists) in 988 games with the Boston Bruins (2010-13) and the Stars.

Seguin is currently in the sixth season of his eight-year, $78.8 million contract with Dallas.
