"Stars Continue Winning Streak with Victory over Kraken in NHL Roundup"
Casey DeSmith tallied 35 saves to lead the Dallas Stars to their sixth consecutive victory, a 3-1 win against the Seattle Kraken on Monday night.
DeSmith, who serves as the backup goalie for Dallas behind Jake Oettinger, extended his point streak to nine games (8-0-1).
Matt Duchene, Wyatt Johnston, and Mikael Granlund each found the back of the net for the Stars (49-21-4, 102 points), bringing them within four points of the first-place Jets in the Central Division with eight games remaining for both teams. Esa Lindell and Mason Marchment each recorded two assists for Dallas.
Kaapo Kakko scored for the Kraken (31-38-6, 68 points), while Philipp Grubauer made 28 saves. Seattle has now lost five of their last six games (1-4-1).

The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Nashville Predators 2-1, with Matvei Michkov and Travis Konecny each recording two assists and Ryan Poehling and Jamie Drysdale scoring the goals for Philadelphia.
The New Jersey Devils defeated the Minnesota Wild 3-2 in a shootout, with Nico Hischier scoring his fourth goal in two games and Jacob Markstrom making 27 saves for the Devils. Vinnie Hinostroza and Matt Boldy scored for the Wild, but it wasn't enough to secure the win.
The Calgary Flames rallied to beat the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 in a shootout, with Ryan Lomberg and Adam Klapka scoring 32 seconds apart in the third period to tie the game. Yegor Sharangovich had the only goal in the shootout for the Flames, while Cale Makar and Logan O'Connor scored for the Avalanche. Nathan MacKinnon extended his home point streak to 25 games with an assist, but it wasn't enough to lift Colorado to victory.
