Toronto Maple Leafs center Calle Jarnkrok is currently considered month-to-month after undergoing surgery for a groin and sports hernia, as announced by the team on Monday.

The 33-year-old Jarnkrok has yet to make an appearance in a game this season.

Last season, Jarnkrok recorded 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) in 52 games for the Leafs.

Throughout his career, the former second-round pick has accumulated a total of 301 points (136 goals, 165 assists) in 699 games played for four different teams, with his most notable stint being with the Nashville Predators from 2013 to 2021.

Jarnkrok is currently in the third year of his four-year, $8.4 million contract with Toronto.
