"Panthers' Forward Sam Bennett Sidelined with Upper Body Injury Until Postseason"

Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett will not be playing in the final five games of the regular season due to an injury to his upper body. However, he is expected to be back in action for the start of the playoffs.

Panthers coach Paul Maurice provided an update on the experienced player's condition before the team's home game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday. The defending champions will be playing their last game of the regular season on April 15.

Bennett, who is 28 years old, last appeared in a game on Saturday in a 3-0 loss to the Ottawa Senators. He was not present on the ice for the team's 2-1 defeat to the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday, which extended their losing streak to 0-4-1.

This season, Bennett has achieved a career-high of 50 points (25 goals and 25 assists) and has accumulated 88 penalty minutes in 74 games.

Throughout his career, he has scored a total of 335 points (162 goals and 173 assists) in 689 games with the Calgary Flames (2014-21) and the Panthers. He was selected by the Flames as the No. 4 overall pick in the 2014 draft.
