Nikolaj Ehlers achieved a hat trick and an assist to aid the visiting Winnipeg Jets in their 6-2 victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night.

Josh Morrissey also contributed a goal and an assist in the third period for the Jets, who have won two consecutive games and 10 out of 11 to start the season. Eric Comrie made 20 saves for his third straight win of the season.

Sean Kuraly and Sean Monahan scored for the Blue Jackets, who had won three of their last four games and have a quick turnaround as they face the Washington Capitals on Saturday afternoon. Elvis Merzlikins made 38 saves.

Ehlers scored his seventh goal of the season and completed his fifth career hat trick at 18:51 of the second period when he backhanded a loose puck into the net from in front of the crease, giving Winnipeg a 4-2 lead.

Panthers 6, Stars 4

Aleksander Barkov had a successful homecoming, leading the Florida Panthers to victory over the Dallas Stars in an NHL Global Series game in Tampere, Finland.

The Tampere native scored a goal and had three assists as the Panthers won their fourth consecutive game. The team's captain has recorded six points since his return on Monday from a lower-body injury that kept him out for eight games.

Esa Lindell also had a goal and an assist for the Stars, who saw their two-game winning streak come to an end.

Flames 3, Devils 0

Blake Coleman broke the scoreless tie in the third period, scoring two goals on the night, and Dan Vladar recorded his first shutout of the season as the Calgary Flames defeated the New Jersey Devils.

Vladar made 22 saves for his third career shutout as the Flames ended a four-game losing streak. He also had one assist, while Jonathan Huberdeau scored the Flames' other goal.

Jacob Markstrom, who was traded to New Jersey in June after playing four seasons with the Flames, stopped 29 shots. The Devils had their two-game winning streak snapped.

Rangers 2, Senators 1

Igor Shesterkin made 40 saves and Alexis Lafreniere had a goal and an assist to lead the New York Rangers to a victory over the Ottawa Senators.

Shesterkin made impressive saves on Josh Norris and Claude Giroux in the first and second periods, respectively. The former Vezina Trophy winner also benefited from Adam Gaudette missing an open net in the second period.

Linus Ullmark made 16 saves for the Senators, who were unable to replicate their 8-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday. Ottawa has lost three of their last four games.

Islanders 4, Sabres 3

Bo Horvat, Maxim Tsyplakov, and Kyle Palmieri scored three consecutive goals between the first and second periods as the undermanned New York Islanders snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating the Buffalo Sabres.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored in the third period for the Islanders, who lost defensemen Mike Reilly and Adam Pelech to injuries in the second period. New York played without star center Mathew Barzal, who was sent back to Long Island to be evaluated for an upper-body injury he sustained on Wednesday night against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Goalie Ilya Sorokin made 32 saves.

Dylan Cozens, Jason Zucker, and Owen Power scored for the Sabres, who have lost two straight after a three-game winning streak. Goalie Devon Levi recorded 32 saves.

Wild 5, Lightning 3

Kirill Kaprizov scored the game-winning goal with 5:23 remaining in regulation, adding an empty-netter and an assist as the Minnesota Wild continued their strong start with a victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

With the score tied at 2-2, Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy (17 saves) was unable to stop a shot from Minnesota that snuck through his legs. The Wild's Marco Rossi attempted to score, but Kaprizov was there to put the puck in the net, giving his team the lead for good and recording his seventh consecutive multi-point game.
