"Jets Snap Blues' Record-Breaking Win Streak in NHL Recap"

Alex Iafallo scored a go-ahead goal in the third period to end the St. Louis Blues' record-breaking 12-game winning streak with a 3-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Monday.

The Jets, who currently hold the best record in the NHL, have won five of their last seven games. Morgan Barron and Adam Lowry also contributed goals for the Jets, while Connor Hellebuyck made 14 saves.

Pavel Buchnevich scored the only goal for the Blues, and Joel Hofer stopped 23 shots. Despite the loss, the Blues maintain their position as the top team in the Western Conference wild-card race, with a two-point lead over the idle Minnesota Wild.

Iafallo's goal came at the 7:05 mark of the third period, off a rebound from a shot by Kyle Connor. Lowry sealed the win with an empty-net goal in the final seconds of the game.

The Tampa Bay Lightning dominated the New York Rangers with a 5-1 victory, scoring three goals in just 1 minute and 45 seconds in the first period. Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point each had a goal and two assists, while Yanni Gourde also contributed a goal. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 38 saves for the Lightning, who are now just two points behind the Atlantic Division leaders, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Seattle Kraken earned their third consecutive win with a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings. Joey Daccord made 28 saves for the Kraken, while Matty Beniers and Brandon Montour scored the goals. Quinton Byfield scored the lone goal for the Kings, who had their four-game winning streak snapped.

The Calgary Flames staged a third-period comeback to defeat the San Jose Sharks 3-2 and keep their playoff hopes alive. Adam Klapka, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Matt Coronato all scored in the final frame for the Flames, while Dustin Wolf made 29 saves. Will Smith scored both goals for the Sharks, and Macklin Celebrini set a franchise record for rookie assists with 36.

The Anaheim Ducks edged out the Edmonton Oilers 3-2, with Mason McTavish scoring the game-winning goal and Lukas Dostal making 45 saves. Cutter Gauthier scored twice for the Ducks, while Adam Henrique and Jeff Skinner scored for the Oilers. Olivier Rodrigue made his first NHL start for the Oilers, stopping 18 shots in the loss.
