"Jets Continue Winning Streak with Overtime Victory Against Wild in NHL Recap"

Kyle Connor netted a goal just 51 seconds into overtime to secure a 2-1 victory for the Winnipeg Jets over the Minnesota Wild on Sunday night.

Mark Scheifele contributed a goal and an assist for Winnipeg, who remains undefeated with three consecutive wins to start the season. Adam Lowry and Josh Morrissey also recorded assists for the Jets.

Jake Middleton scored the lone goal for Minnesota, who have earned one point in their last two games with a shootout-round loss and an overtime loss.

Jets' goaltender Connor Hellebuyck stopped 26 of 27 shots to earn the win, making 25 saves in regulation and stopping the only shot he faced in overtime. Filip Gustavsson allowed two goals on 35 shots for the Wild.

Connor scored the game-winning goal from the right circle, receiving a hard pass from Scheifele and firing a rising shot that beat Gustavsson on his glove side.

In other NHL action:

Casey DeSmith made 25 saves in his Dallas debut for his 11th career shutout as the Stars defeated the Seattle Kraken 2-0 at home.

Sam Steel and Wyatt Johnston each scored for the Stars, who extended their season-opening winning streak to three games. It was the second shutout in as many nights for Dallas, with the goals coming just 13 seconds apart late in the first period.

Philipp Grubauer finished with 21 saves for the Kraken.

Rasmus Andersson scored a goal and added two assists as the Calgary Flames defeated the Edmonton Oilers 4-1 on the road.

Anthony Mantha, Justin Kirkland, and Connor Zary also scored for the Flames, who have won three straight games to start the season. Goaltender Dan Vladar made 25 saves for his second win of the campaign.

Jeff Skinner scored the lone goal for the Oilers, who have dropped three straight to open a season for the first time since 2015-16. Stuart Skinner made 25 saves in taking his second loss of the season.

Ilya Samsonov made 22 saves in his first start for the Vegas Golden Knights, helping them to a 3-1 win against the Anaheim Ducks at home.

Brett Howden, Tomas Hertl, and Pavel Dorofeyev each scored for the Golden Knights, who have won three in a row to start the season for the third straight year. Keegan Kolesar recorded two assists in the win.

Troy Terry scored for the Ducks, while goaltender James Reimer made his team debut after being claimed off waivers from the Buffalo Sabres on Monday. He made 29 saves in the loss.
