Dylan Samberg netted the game-winning goal with 12:22 left in the third period, leading the Winnipeg Jets to a 7-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday.

Just 47 seconds after Tampa Bay tied the game at 4-4, Kyle Connor skated around the net and passed to Samberg, whose shot from the point beat Lightning goalie Jonas Johansson (27 saves).

Vladislav Namestnikov, Logan Stanley, Mark Scheifele, and Alex Iafallo also scored for the Jets, who overcame a 2-0 deficit to achieve their best start in franchise history at 11-1-0.

Nikita Kucherov contributed a goal and an assist for the Lightning, who have now lost two consecutive games after winning three in a row.

The New York Rangers defeated the Islanders 5-2, with Artemi Panarin scoring twice and Chris Kreider, Vincent Trocheck, and Adam Edstrom also finding the back of the net.

The Carolina Hurricanes extended their winning streak to six games with a 4-2 victory over the Washington Capitals, thanks to two goals from Dmitry Orlov and a goal and two assists from Martin Necas.

Matt Boldy scored in overtime to give the Minnesota Wild a 2-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, with Ryan Hartman also scoring for the Wild.

Jeremy Swayman made 23 saves to lead the Boston Bruins to a 2-0 shutout win over the Seattle Kraken, with goals from Justin Brazeau and Charlie Coyle.

The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Calgary Flames 4-2, with Zach Hyman scoring the game-winner and Leon Draisaitl adding a goal and two assists.

The Chicago Blackhawks beat the Anaheim Ducks 4-2, with Arvid Soderblom making 37 saves and Connor Bedard and Taylor Hall each recording multiple assists.
