"Devils Add G Michael Hutchinson and D Jakob Zboril on Trial Contracts"
The New Jersey Devils have announced that they will be giving professional tryouts to goaltender Michael Hutchinson and defenseman Jakub Zboril on Thursday.
Both players are expected to join the team for training camp on September 18th.
Hutchinson, who was drafted in the third round by the Boston Bruins in 2008, had a disappointing season with the Detroit Red Wings last year, losing his only NHL appearance. In his 11-year career, he has a record of 57-62-18 with a 2.94 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage. He has played for the Winnipeg Jets, Florida Panthers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Red Wings.
Zboril, a first-round pick (13th overall) by the Bruins in 2015, has recorded one goal and 15 assists in 76 games with Boston since his debut in the 2018-19 season.
