"Absence of Lightning Forward Brayden Point (injured lower body) against Blues"
Tampa Bay Lightning's top forward, Brayden Point, will not be playing in Tuesday's game against the St. Louis Blues due to a lower-body injury.
Point sustained the injury in the first period of Tampa Bay's 7-4 defeat against the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday.
Anthony Cirelli is expected to take Point's place on the top line, playing alongside former Hart Trophy winner Nikita Kucherov and Brandon Hagel.
The 28-year-old Point has recorded 13 points (eight goals, five assists) and has scored five power-play goals in 12 games this season, making him the team's top scorer.
Since being drafted by the Lightning in the third round of the 2014 NHL Draft, Point has accumulated 566 points (272 goals, 294 assists) in 592 career games.
In addition, the Lightning have called up Gage Goncalves from the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch for Tuesday's game.
Goncalves, 23, has four assists in four games with the Crunch so far this season.
