"Upcoming Tournaments and Increased Prize Money on the Horizon for PGA Tour Champions"

PGA Tour Champions is introducing a new event, implementing some fresh changes, and boosting the prize money for its 2025 season, as announced in the schedule on Wednesday.

In total, players will compete in 20 different states and three countries for a total of $69 million in prize money, the highest amount in the tour's history.

A new addition to the tour is the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational, taking place on April 4-6 at The Old Course at Broken Sound in Boca Raton, Florida. This event will feature Champions players competing alongside 26 of the greatest names in football for the first two days, with Sunday reserved for the professional golfers.

The American Family Insurance Championship will now be played in a team golf format and will be held on June 6-8 at the redesigned TPC Wisconsin.

Overall, the schedule includes 25 events. The tour will kick off on January 17-19 at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Ka'upulehu-Kona, Hawaii, followed by the Trophy Hassan II at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat, Morocco in early February.

The season will conclude in November with the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Phoenix.

"As we gear up for an exciting finale to our 2024 season, I am thrilled to reveal the 2025 PGA TOUR Champions schedule," said Miller Brady, the president of the tour. "Next season promises even greater success for the Champions Tour, as we continue to build upon the strong foundation already in place. Our partnership with our title sponsors and tournaments is unparalleled, and their support can be seen throughout our tour, from the increased prize money to the charitable contributions in the local communities where we compete."
