Nelly Korda has pulled out of the next two tournaments on the LPGA Tour's Asia swing after injuring her neck during practice. She made the announcement on Monday.

This week, the tour is in South Korea for the BMW Ladies Championship, which starts on Thursday. The following week, players will head to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the Maybank Championship.

Unfortunately, fans in these countries will not have the opportunity to see Korda, who is currently the top-ranked player in the world and has won six times this season.

In a social media post on Monday evening, Korda stated, "I've had to withdraw from the LPGA events in Korea and Malaysia due to a minor neck injury I sustained while practicing. I'm disappointed to miss these events and am especially sorry to my fans who were looking forward to seeing me play. I'm currently resting and working with my team to get better. Thank you for all your support -- it truly means the world to me!"

Korda, who is 26 years old, did not mention when she plans to return to competition. The Asia swing will conclude with the TOTO Japan Classic on October 31st to November 3rd. The season will end three weeks later at the CME Group Tour Championship in her home state of Florida.

All six of Korda's victories this year came before June. She won five consecutive starts, including the Chevron Championship, where she earned her second career major title.

Korda is currently leading the season-long Race to the CME Globe standings by approximately 1,235 points over New Zealand's Lydia Ko. However, she has yet to win the season-long championship.
