Rocco Mediate carded a 6-under-par 66 on Saturday to tie Bob Estes for the lead after two rounds at the Constellation Furyk & Friends tournament in Jacksonville, Florida.

Mediate started strong with three birdies in his first six holes and ended the day with a total of seven birdies. He overcame a bogey on the par-4 No. 10 as he aims for his fifth Champions win and first since the 2019 Sanford International.

\"I kept it in front of me,\" said Mediate, who currently sits at 11-under 133 through two rounds at Timuquana Country Club. \"I didn't really make any mistakes, except for missing a two and a half foot putt on 10. But you look at that and you just have to keep moving forward.

\"You have to keep it in the right place on this course. If you're not in the right place, it will destroy you. So far, I've been in the right place.\"

Estes, who also shot a 66 in the first round, finished with a 5-under 67 on Saturday. He had an eagle on the par-4 12th hole and shot a 31 on the back nine. He ended the day with four birdies to offset a bogey on the par-4 No. 8.

\"I didn't play as well on the front nine,\" said Estes, who has four PGA Tour wins but is still searching for his first win on the Champions Tour. \"But when I holed that sand wedge on No. 12, it got me going and I made a few more birdies after that. So, I played much better on the back nine compared to the front.\"

Vijay Singh of Fiji and Mario Tiziani are tied for third place after both shooting a 68 for the second consecutive day. Singh had birdies on holes 2, 7, 12, 13, and 15, with a bogey on the par-3 14th hole.

\"I'm surprised after being off for four weeks,\" said Singh about his performance this weekend. \"My game has always been there, but my mental game hasn't. I'm feeling better mentally, and that's helping my golf game.\"

Tiziani overcame two early bogeys on holes 1 and 4, and finished with four birdies and an eagle on the par-5 15th hole.

Y.E. Yang of South Korea, Lee Janzen, Jason Caron, and Tim Petrovic are all tied for fifth place at 7-under 137.

Joe Durant, who was tied for the lead after the first round, struggled on Saturday with a 77 and dropped into a tie for 43rd place. He is now at 1-under 143 after a double bogey on the par-4 10th hole and three more bogeys on the back nine (holes 14, 16, and 17).

Sweden's Freddie Jacobson, who was also tied for the lead after Friday, fell into a tie for 24th place after shooting a 74 in the second round. He had seven bogeys and five birdies on Saturday.
