PROP PICKS
-Sam Burns to Defeat Viktor Hovland (-140 at DraftKings): Hovland may have won the 2018 U.S. Amateur and been the low amateur at the 2019 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, but he finished T58 at this event last year and is currently working through a swing change. Burns, on the other hand, has strong iron play and finished 10th at Pebble Beach last year.
-Wyndham Clark to Finish in the Top 30 (+100 at BetRivers): The defending champion may have missed the cut at The American Express, but he is still ranked seventh in the world and has the potential to do well at Pebble Beach. He only needs to beat 50 players in the limited field for this prop to pay.
-Ludvig Aberg to be the Top Nordic Finisher (-105 at DraftKings): Aberg had a strong start at Torrey Pines before struggling with difficult conditions and an illness. He is up against Hovland (+230) and Rasmus Hojgaard (+275) in this prop, but we believe Aberg has the potential for superstardom.
2025 Prop Pick Record: 4-5-0
BEST BETS
-Scottie Scheffler (+400 at DraftKings) is the top favorite heading into the tournament, despite not playing since winning the Hero World Challenge in December. He won four major events last year and has the most bets and money backing him this week.
-Rory McIlroy (+1100) had a solid showing in Dubai, but has struggled at Pebble Beach in the past. He is not among the top 10 players in terms of bets or money backing him to win.
-Justin Thomas (+1400) is in good form and has the third highest percentage of money backing him to win. He has not won since the 2022 PGA Championship.
-Collin Morikawa (+1400) finished second in his only start of the year so far. He also has a high percentage of money backing him to win.
-Ludvig Aberg (+1800) tied for fifth at The Sentry and was the first-round leader at last week's event before falling ill. He has a strong chance to do well at Pebble Beach.
-Patrick Cantlay (+1800) has not won a stroke play event in three years, but is still receiving a high percentage of money backing him to win. He finished T11 at this event last year.
NOTES
-The no-cut tournament has a $20 million prize pool and increased FedEx Cup points. After playing with amateurs for the first two rounds, the professionals will play on the weekend at Peb
