"Jordan Spieth's Comeback from Wrist Injury: Ready to Roll"

Jordan Spieth expressed his enthusiasm for returning to the golf course and stated that his surgically repaired wrist is fully ready for action as he prepares for his season debut at Pebble Beach on Thursday.

The professional golfer made these remarks on Wednesday ahead of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

In August, Spieth underwent surgery on his left wrist after initially sustaining the injury in 2023. This Thursday will mark his first competitive round of golf since participating in the FedEx St. Jude Classic at TPC Southwind in Memphis on August 15-18.

Spieth told reporters, \"I feel really good. I\'m very satisfied with how everything has gone. When I wake up, it\'s still a little tight from using it a lot in the last couple of weeks to prepare, but it can\'t cause any more damage. I just loosen it up and it feels great.\"

The golfer also mentioned that he had initially planned to return earlier, but he didn\'t feel like he had done enough practice to make a successful comeback.

Spieth said, \"Pebble Beach was always going to be a good place to start, and I received some great advice before and during my recovery. One of them was that no one has ever returned too late from surgery. So I took that to heart. As much as I wanted to get back out there, I\'m glad I waited until now.\"

He also added that he hopes to not have to think about his wrist at all this week.

\"It might take some time, but now it\'s all systems go and I\'m excited to be back. I don\'t feel like I missed much because I only missed one or two events that I would have played in anyway. It feels like the start of a new season, which I think is a good thing,\" Spieth said.

The golfer has won three major tournaments and a total of 13 PGA Tour events, but he has not won since the RBC Heritage in April 2022. He began the 2024 season with a third-place finish at The Sentry and tied for sixth at the WM Phoenix Open, but he only had one more top-10 finish for the rest of the year and missed seven cuts.
