According to Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley, the Masters is expected to take place as planned, despite the golf course being significantly damaged by Hurricane Helene.

The prestigious tournament is set to occur from April 10-13, 2025 in Augusta, Georgia.

During a press conference at the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in Japan, Ridley expressed his confidence in the event's scheduled dates.

The powerful Category 4 hurricane caused destruction in several states, including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

In response to the disaster, Augusta National and the Community Foundation for the Central Savannah River Area have jointly donated $5 million to the Hurricane Helene Community Crisis Fund.

Ridley also commended the efforts of the club's employees, who have been working tirelessly to not only restore the golf course, but also aid the larger community.

While the extent of the damage is still unknown, Ridley remains optimistic that the Masters will resume its operations as soon as possible.
