Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will not have any restrictions during practice following his reaggravation of his injured ankle during Monday night's game.

On Wednesday, Mahomes stated that he is able to move around on his ankle, but it is still sore from the previous injury. He expressed his excitement to push himself during practice and see how his ankle holds up throughout the week.

The undefeated Chiefs (8-0) will begin preparing for their division rival, the Denver Broncos (5-4), in Kansas City on Sunday.

Mahomes reaggravated his ankle while throwing a touchdown pass to Samaje Perine in the fourth quarter of the Chiefs' 30-24 overtime victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night. Despite needing assistance to get to the sideline, Mahomes did not miss any plays and finished the game with 291 passing yards and three touchdowns.

This is not the first time Mahomes has injured his ankle this season, as he first suffered the injury in Week 8.

The two-time MVP has thrown for 1,942 yards, 11 touchdowns, and nine interceptions so far this season.
