"Study Shows Seahawks Wide Receiver DK Metcalf Suffers from Sprained MCL"

Analysis: Seahawks Wide Receiver DK Metcalf Suffers MCL Sprain

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf is currently dealing with a Grade 1 MCL sprain, according to a report from ESPN on Monday.

Metcalf sustained the knee injury during Sunday's 34-14 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. He had a strong performance with four catches for 99 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game in the fourth quarter.

Although he briefly attempted to jog on the sidelines, Metcalf was ultimately taken to the locker room on a cart.

Following the game, coach Mike Macdonald stated that Metcalf had \"banged his knee a little bit\" and that the injury did not appear to be too severe.

So far this season, Metcalf has recorded 35 receptions on 61 targets for 568 yards and three touchdowns in seven games (six starts) for the Seahawks (4-3).

Since being drafted by Seattle in the second round in 2019 from Mississippi, the two-time Pro Bowl selection has accumulated 407 catches for 5,900 yards and 46 touchdowns in 89 games (87 starts).
