"Randall Cobb and Family Survive House Fire, Counting Themselves Fortunate to Be Alive"

Experienced NFL wide receiver Randall Cobb and his family narrowly escaped a house fire earlier this week in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to the Nashville Fire Department, the fire broke out in the family's garage at approximately 11 p.m. local time on Tuesday.

Cobb's wife, Aiyda Cobb, took to Instagram to share that a Tesla charger caught fire, causing the flames to quickly spread throughout their home.

In her post, she expressed gratitude that the couple and their three young sons were able to make it out alive. A video accompanying the post showed the extent of the damage, including burned cars and a destroyed garage.

She also mentioned that they were forced to flee the house with only the clothes on their backs and no shoes on their feet.

Randall Cobb himself returned to the house to rescue their dog, and he later thanked the firefighters for their swift response.

The family has been overwhelmed by the support of their community in Nashville and their close friends who have offered them a temporary place to stay and a shoulder to lean on during this difficult time.

Currently a free agent, 33-year-old Cobb spent the 2023 season with the New York Jets. Throughout his career, he has amassed 630 receptions, 7,624 yards, and 54 touchdowns in 166 games (88 starts) with the Green Bay Packers (2011-18, 2021-22), Dallas Cowboys (2019), Houston Texans (2020), and Jets.
