Star linebacker T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, after sustaining an injury to his left ankle during their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles three days prior.

It is yet to be determined if Watt will be able to play in Saturday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

On Tuesday, he was unable to practice, but showed progress during individual drills on Wednesday.

The injury occurred with just under five minutes remaining in the Steelers' 27-13 defeat to the Eagles.

Watt, who is 30 years old, had an impressive performance on Sunday with two sacks, a forced fumble, and seven tackles. He has reached double digits in sacks for the sixth time in his eight-year career, with a total of 11 1/2 sacks this season.

A six-time Pro Bowl selection, Watt has recorded 108 sacks in 118 games with the Steelers. In 2021, he was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year after achieving a career-high of 22.5 sacks, matching the official league record since 1982.

Backup quarterback Justin Fields (abdominal), receiver George Pickens (hamstring), cornerback Donte Jackson (back), and safety DeShon Elliott (hamstring) were all absent from Wednesday's practice for the Steelers.

Pickens, who has missed the last two games, leads the team with 55 receptions and 850 yards. He has also caught three touchdown passes.
