"Patriots Head Coach Mike Vrabel Fascinated by Offensive Tackle Prospects in Draft"

The head coach of the Patriots, Mike Vrabel, acknowledges his appreciation for the potential choices that will be available when New England is on the clock with the fourth overall pick in the 2025 draft.

However, he is uncertain about who will still be available at that time.

During the NFL's annual spring meeting in Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday, Vrabel stated, \"If you can tell me who goes first, second, and third, then I can tell you who goes fourth.\"

The Patriots did not acquire a left tackle during free agency and Vrabel admits that the draft is a viable option for filling this perceived gap. The team did sign 34-year-old Morgan Moses to play right tackle and plan to give Caedan Wallace a chance to compete for a starting position, according to Vrabel.

While he does not rule out the possibility of trading down from the fourth pick, Vrabel has closely studied the top offensive tackle prospects in the draft, including LSU's Will Campbell and Missouri's Armand Membou.

\"They are both talented young players with impressive film. Will has a lot of experience at left tackle, while Membou has primarily played on the right side. However, many players have successfully switched between the two positions,\" Vrabel explained.

Campbell's shorter wingspan and arm length have raised concerns, but Vrabel believes his college film proves he can excel as a left tackle in the NFL. He also has no doubts about Membou's ability to protect quarterback Drake Maye's blindside, despite playing right tackle in college.

Vrabel cautioned the media to not assume the Patriots will choose a player at this position simply because it is seen as a pressing need. He emphasized that the team's focus is on adding top talent, regardless of position, and mentioned the possibility of selecting versatile player Travis Hunter from Colorado, who can play both wide receiver and cornerback.

According to Vrabel, Hunter is the top-ranked wide receiver in the draft and the Patriots would not require him to solely focus on offense, as he played both ways in college and was a standout performer.

The Patriots are closely monitoring defensive tackle Christian Barmore's return from a blood clotting condition and Vrabel confirmed that he has been cleared to participate in voluntary team workouts. Barmore experienced recurring symptoms in December after playing four games, but Vrabel stated that the team has a solid plan in place for his recovery.
