"Patrick Mahomes Reacts to Raiders' Puppet Video: 'We'll Take Care of It'"

Kansas City Chiefs standout quarterback Patrick Mahomes didn't place much importance on the recent attempt at humor by the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders caused a stir on social media on Thursday when a video surfaced of rookie safety Trey Taylor carrying a Kermit the Frog puppet dressed in a Mahomes jersey and a wig resembling the quarterback's signature curly hair.

This move by the Raiders to mock Mahomes is quite interesting, especially considering his impressive track record and dominance in the rivalry between the AFC West teams. When asked if the video would serve as added motivation for their upcoming game, the two-time NFL MVP and three-time Super Bowl champion responded, "Yeah, I mean, it's still early in the year. Things like that happen. It'll be addressed when the time comes."

Mahomes, who is 28 years old, has consistently performed well against the Raiders, with a record of 10-2 in 12 starts. He has completed 66.2% of his passes for 3,573 yards against Las Vegas, with 30 touchdowns and only four interceptions.

The Chiefs will have their first opportunity to add to these impressive stats on October 27th when they face the Raiders in Week 8. The two teams will meet again in Kansas City on November 29th.

Raiders coach Antonio Pierce downplayed the incident on Friday, stating, "We addressed it as a team yesterday and we put an end to it. It's over."
