According to ESPN, the Detroit Lions are preparing to add defensive end Isaiah Thomas to their roster from the Cincinnati Bengals' practice squad on Tuesday.

After losing Aidan Hutchinson, a Pro Bowl pass rusher, to a broken leg on Sunday, the Lions are in need of reinforcements on the edge.

The 25-year-old Thomas was selected in the seventh round of the 2022 draft by the Cleveland Browns from Oklahoma. During his time with the Browns, he played in 10 games and recorded one sack, one fumble recovery, and nine tackles.

However, Thomas was released by Cleveland during final roster cuts on August 26 and subsequently joined the Cincinnati practice squad three days later.
