"Jets' Report Reveals Limited Timeframe for Haason Reddick Trade"

"Jets' Report Reveals Brief Trade Window for Haason Reddick"

The New York Jets have given Haason Reddick the go-ahead to explore a trade and have given him a limited amount of time to do so, according to a report from The Athletic on Tuesday.

This news comes just one day after the holdout pass-rusher hired agent Drew Rosenhaus, who has been contacting teams to gauge their interest, as stated in the report.

The Jets acquired Reddick from the Philadelphia Eagles on April 1 in exchange for a conditional 2026 draft pick. However, the two-time Pro Bowl selection has not reported to the team as he seeks a long-term contract.

Reddick was set to earn $14.25 million in the final year of his three-year, $45 million deal.

The 30-year-old Reddick has recorded 50.5 sacks in the past four seasons.

Originally drafted 13th overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 2017, Reddick has been selected to the Pro Bowl twice and has accumulated 410 tackles, 99 quarterback hits, 58 sacks, and 16 forced fumbles in 114 games (81 starts) with the Cardinals (2017-20), Carolina Panthers (2021), and Eagles.

The struggling Jets were active on Tuesday, reportedly trading for wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for a conditional third-round pick.

On Monday night, New York (2-4) suffered their third consecutive loss with a 23-20 defeat at home against the Buffalo Bills.
