Davante Adams will once again be on the receiving end of passes from Aaron Rodgers.

According to multiple media outlets, the New York Jets are set to acquire Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for a conditional third-round pick. ESPN and The Athletic report that the pick could potentially become a second-round selection based on Adams' individual performance for the rest of the season.

NFL Network has also reported that the Jets have agreed to take on the remainder of Adams' salary in order to finalize the deal. Adams is currently in the third year of a five-year, $140 million contract that he signed in 2022. This includes base salaries of $35.64 million in 2025 and 2026.

The reported trade comes after the Jets (2-4) suffered their third consecutive loss, a 23-20 defeat to the Buffalo Bills.

Rodgers and Adams were teammates for eight seasons in Green Bay, and Adams had recently requested a trade from the Raiders. During their time together, the Rodgers to Adams connection resulted in 622 receptions, 7,590 yards, and 69 touchdowns.

The Jets are hoping that the duo can recreate their previous success.

Adams, who is 31 years old, has recorded 18 catches for 209 yards and a touchdown in three games this season. However, he has been dealing with a nagging hamstring injury that has caused him to miss the last three weeks.

A six-time Pro Bowl selection, Adams has accumulated 890 catches for 10,990 yards and 96 touchdowns in 153 career games (146 starts) with the Packers (2014-21) and Raiders.

At 40 years old, Rodgers has thrown for 1,387 yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions in six games this season.

Currently, Garrett Wilson leads the Jets in catches (41) and receiving yards (399) with three touchdowns. Former Packer Allen Lazard has the most touchdown receptions on the team with five.

During his time with the Packers (2005-22) and Jets, Rodgers has thrown for 60,442 yards, 484 touchdowns, and 110 interceptions in 237 games (230 starts). He has a record of 150-79-1 and has been selected to 10 Pro Bowls. In addition, he led the Packers to a Super Bowl XLV victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
