"Four-Time Pro Bowl Center Ryan Kelly (kmee) Placed on Injured Reserve by Colts"

The Indianapolis Colts have placed four-time Pro Bowl center Ryan Kelly on the injured reserve list due to a knee injury.

This decision means that Kelly will be unable to play for at least four games.

Although Kelly was dealing with calf and knee problems, he still played the entire game in Sunday night's 21-13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Throughout his nine-year career, Kelly has started in all 121 regular season and postseason games, all with the Colts.

The 31-year-old has been recognized as a Pro Bowler in 2019-21 and 2023, and was also chosen as a second-team All-Pro in 2020.

According to Colts coach Shane Steichen, rookie Tanor Bortolini will take over as the starting center for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills (7-2).

This will be Bortolini's third start for the Colts (4-5) in his seventh career game. He was selected in the fourth round of the draft from Wisconsin.

On Wednesday, star linebacker Zaire Franklin (ankle) and standout receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (back, finger) did not participate in practice. However, offensive tackles Braden Smith (knee), Bernhard Raimann (concussion), and Matt Goncalves (shoulder, finger), as well as defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo (elbow), were all able to fully participate.
