Eagles and Chiefs emerge as top picks for conference championships
The Philadelphia Eagles emerged from their dramatic divisional playoff win with significant injury concerns, but also as the top contender among the remaining four teams for the title.
At DraftKings, the Eagles are the favored at +180 to win Super Bowl LIV, followed by the Kansas City Chiefs at +240 as they aim for a three-peat.
Despite a late rally from the Los Angeles Rams, the Eagles managed to secure a 28-22 victory in snowy conditions on Sunday. DraftKings has installed them as a 4.5-point favorite for the NFC Championship against the Washington Commanders, while other sportsbooks like BetRivers have them at 5.0 points.
This is despite quarterback Jalen Hurts playing through a left leg injury sustained in the second half of Sunday's game against the Rams.
"It was a tough game, a challenging game," Hurts said after the game. "I was able to finish the game, and we'll see how the week goes."
The Eagles' Super Bowl odds have improved thanks to their upcoming opponent, with NFC East rival Washington pulling off an upset against the No. 1-seeded Detroit Lions on Saturday. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels will try to continue their Cinderella run, with the Commanders having the longest remaining odds at +650.
The fourth and final team to join the conference championship fray was the Buffalo Bills, who survived a tough battle at home against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night. After Josh Allen outplayed fellow MVP candidate Lamar Jackson, they have now set up another highly anticipated playoff showdown against the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes.
The Bills have slightly longer Super Bowl odds than the Chiefs at +270, with Kansas City being a slight 1.5-point favorite according to DraftKings and BetRivers for the AFC Championship Game. The two teams also met in last year's AFC title game, with the Chiefs coming out on top with a 38-24 win.
