"Cowboys Wide Receiver CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) Out for the Rest of the Season"
The Dallas Cowboys have decided to end CeeDee Lamb's season due to a shoulder injury that he has been playing through for almost two months.
Lamb initially injured his right shoulder on November 3rd but has not missed a single game in the Cowboys' first 15 games of the season.
According to a team spokesperson, further examinations and scans revealed that Lamb's injury has progressed and he will be listed as "Out" for the remaining two games of the season. He will undergo treatment and rehabilitation but is not expected to need surgery and is expected to fully recover.
The Cowboys, who have been eliminated from playoff contention, will face two division rivals in their final two games. They will play the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday and the Washington Commanders in Week 18.
Lamb, who is 25 years old, had an impressive season with 101 receptions, 1,194 yards, and six touchdowns. This marks his fourth consecutive 1,000-yard season and he may be selected for his fourth Pro Bowl.
In August, Lamb signed a four-year, $136 million contract extension that will cover the 2025-28 seasons.
