Chiefs have better health status compared to Eagles in projected injury updates
The Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, was marked as a full participant in Wednesday's estimated practice report.
Mahomes has been managing a right ankle injury since mid-December while leading the Chiefs to a Super Bowl LIX appearance against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Neither team held an actual practice on Wednesday, so the injury reports are only estimations.
The Chiefs also listed running back Kareem Hunt (quadriceps), offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee), cornerback Jaylen Watson (ankle), and safety Bryan Cook (quadriceps) as full participants.
Philadelphia's receiver, DeVonta Smith (hamstring), center Cam Jurgens (back), and guard Landon Dickerson (knee) would have missed Wednesday's practice due to their injuries.
Tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle), offensive lineman Brett Toth (knee), defensive tackle Moro Ojomo (shoulder), and running back Kenny Gainwell (concussion/knee) were all marked as did not practice.
Eagles' running back Saquon Barkley is currently dealing with a calf injury, and receiver A.J. Brown has recently been struggling with knee soreness. Both players would have sat out of practice.
Punt returner and receiver, Britain Covey (neck), is still on injured reserve but would have been a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. He missed the last two regular-season games and the team's two playoff victories.
