Breaking News: Chiefs Wide Receiver Hollywood Brown Set to Make First Appearance of the Season
The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly preparing for the debut of wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown on Saturday, as long as there are no setbacks.
According to ESPN, the Chiefs (13-1) are expected to activate Brown before their upcoming game against the Houston Texans (9-5).
Last Friday, Kansas City began Brown's 21-day practice window. He has been on injured reserve since September 13 due to a sternoclavicular joint injury suffered during the preseason opener.
In March, the 27-year-old signed a one-year, $7 million contract with the Chiefs after spending three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens (2019-21) and two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals (2022-23).
Throughout his 72 career games (65 starts), Brown has recorded 313 catches for 3,644 yards and 28 touchdowns. He achieved a 1,000-yard season with the Ravens in 2021.
Earlier this week, the Chiefs made room for Brown on their roster by releasing veteran running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
