Bengals Appoint Scott Peters as New Offensive Line Coach
The Cincinnati Bengals have announced the appointment of Scott Peters as their new offensive line coach on Monday.
At the age of 46, Peters will be taking over the position previously held by Frank Pollack, who was dismissed by the Bengals on January 6th.
Peters most recently served as the offensive line coach for the New England Patriots, but was left without a job when the team fired head coach Jerod Mayo after just one season. Prior to this, Peters was the assistant offensive line coach for the Cleveland Browns from 2020-2023.
Joining Peters on the coaching staff is Michael McCarthy, who has been named the assistant offensive line coach. McCarthy, 39, previously worked under Peters in New England.
The Bengals will be hoping that this new coaching duo can help improve their offensive line, as quarterback Joe Burrow was sacked 48 times in the 2024 season, after the team allowed a total of 50 sacks in 2023.
