"Announcement: Raiders Decline to Extend Contract for WR DJ Turner"
The Las Vegas Raiders have reportedly decided not to offer a contract to wide receiver DJ Turner, who is a restricted free agent.
Turner, who is 28 years old, started six games out of the 12 he played last season before being placed on injured reserve on December 3 due to a knee injury. He recorded career highs with 16 receptions on 29 targets, 158 receiving yards, and one touchdown.
In addition to his receiving stats, Turner also had five rushing attempts for 33 yards and one rushing touchdown, as well as seven punt returns for 77 yards.
With the NFL's new league year beginning on March 12, players are able to become free agents.
If the Raiders had chosen to tender an offer to Turner, it would have cost them $3.3 million for the 2025 season.
During his time with the Las Vegas Raiders, Turner played in a total of 31 games, starting six of them. He did not record a reception until the 2024 season, as he primarily played on special teams.
