"Trace McSorley Rejoins Penn State as Assistant Quarterback Coach"
Former Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley will be returning to Happy Valley as the assistant coach for quarterbacks during the 2025 season.
On Tuesday, Penn State announced the news on social media.
McSorley was the starting quarterback for 40 games during the 2016-2018 seasons at Penn State. He played a total of 47 games for the Nittany Lions and holds the school records for passing yards (9,899) and touchdowns (77) at the time. He also had 25 interceptions.
Now 29 years old, McSorley had a record of 31-9 as a starter for Penn State.
After being drafted in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens, McSorley spent time with six different NFL teams. He appeared in nine games, starting in one, for the Ravens and Arizona Cardinals.
During his time in the NFL, McSorley completed 48 of 93 pass attempts for 502 yards, with one touchdown and five interceptions.
