Highly-touted quarterback Bryce Underwood, the top prospect in the 2025 class, reversed his decision to commit to LSU and announced on Thursday that he will be attending Michigan.

Underwood initially committed to LSU in early January, but the Wolverines continued to stay in touch with the native of Belleville, Michigan. Less than two weeks before the early signing period, Underwood made it official that he will be heading to Ann Arbor, as seen in a social media video.

Rumors of Underwood's potential change of heart from LSU to Michigan began to circulate after four-star quarterback Carter Smith decommitted from the Wolverines in late October.

When Underwood first announced his commitment to LSU on January 6th at Belleville High School, Michigan was one of his three final choices, along with Alabama.

Standing at 6-foot-4, Underwood led Belleville to two state championships, but fell short in both his junior and senior seasons. His high school career came to an end last Friday when Belleville lost 35-21 to Novi Detroit Catholic Central in a Division I quarterfinal game.

Underwood had initially bypassed Michigan in January, just two days before the Wolverines defeated Washington in the national championship game. At the time, there were speculations that head coach Jim Harbaugh would not return to Michigan.

As it turns out, Harbaugh did leave for the NFL's Los Angeles Chargers and was replaced by offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore, who has a record of 5-5 this season.
