Oregon maintained its top spot in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll, released on Sunday. This marks the third consecutive week at No. 1 for the undefeated Ducks (9-0), who secured a unanimous vote for the top ranking.

The poll was released just before the College Football Playoff selection committee reveals its first rankings of the season. Georgia (7-1) held onto the No. 2 spot after defeating rival Florida, while Ohio State (7-1) moved up to No. 3 following their win over previously ranked No. 3 Penn State.

Miami (9-0) and idle Texas (7-1) both moved up one spot to round out the top five, while Penn State dropped three spots to No. 6. The rest of the top 10 consisted of Tennessee (7-1), Indiana (9-0), BYU (8-0), and Notre Dame (7-1).

Indiana made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving up five spots to No. 8. SMU (8-1) also made a significant climb, rising seven spots to No. 13 after defeating previously undefeated Pitt (7-1).

On the other hand, the biggest drops in the rankings were seen by Texas A&M (7-2, down five), Iowa State (7-1, down six), Clemson (6-2, down eight), Kansas State (7-2, down five), and Pitt (7-1, down five).

The latest additions to the top 25 were Vanderbilt (6-3) and Louisville (6-3), who both became bowl-eligible with their wins over Auburn and Clemson, respectively. Illinois (6-3) and idle Missouri (6-2) dropped out of the rankings.
