Quarterback prospect Blake Hebert, who made a commitment to Clemson almost a year and a half ago, altered his plans on Monday and revealed that he will instead be attending Notre Dame in 2025.

According to the 247Sports Composite, which combines rankings from various sources, Hebert is considered a four-star recruit and the 29th best quarterback in the Class of 2025. ESPN ranks him as the sixth best dual-threat quarterback in his class.

Hebert announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday, "I want to start by expressing my gratitude to the Clemson coaching staff and the program itself for everything they have done for me. However, I have decided to retract my commitment and will be spending the next four years at a different institution."

He later tweeted, "HERE COME THE IRISH! #THINKBIG #committed"

Hebert, who stands at 6 feet 3 inches and weighs 215 pounds, attends Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut.

His choice to join Notre Dame comes less than two weeks after another quarterback decommitted from the school. Deuce Knight from George County High School in Lucedale, Mississippi, opted to attend Auburn instead.

According to On3.com, Hebert has thrown for 900 yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions this season, completing 50 out of 92 passes (54.3 percent). He has also scored seven rushing touchdowns and gained 234 yards on 23 carries.

Notre Dame, currently ranked 12th, has a record of 5-1 this season with senior Riley Leonard as their quarterback.
