Ohio State secured a commitment on Monday from highly-touted safety Blaine Bradford, snatching him away from hometown LSU and Texas.

According to the 247Sports composite, Bradford is ranked as the top safety and 23rd overall prospect in the Class of 2026.

He announced his decision on social media and told On3 that head coach Ryan Day and the Buckeyes were the perfect fit for him.

\"Ohio State is the ideal place for my growth and my future,\" he stated.

Bradford, who attends Catholic High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, received offers from various schools across the nation, particularly in the Southeastern Conference. He was also considering Oregon, according to On3.

Bradford was among a select group of highly-regarded recruits who visited Columbus, Ohio over the weekend.

Ohio State's 2026 recruiting class also includes Chris Henry Jr., the second-ranked wide receiver in the country from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California.
