Connor Stalions, the main figure in the Michigan football sign-stealing controversy, is scheduled to speak publicly for the first time about his actions.

An installment of the Netflix documentary series "Untold," premiering on Aug. 27, will focus on Stalions' perspective.

Both the NCAA and the Big Ten Conference determined last year that Michigan engaged in illegal in-person scouting of future opponents and potential rivals. Stalions was believed to be the leader of this operation, as he was seen purchasing tickets to games involving teams the Wolverines were scheduled to play.

Stalions resigned from his position on the Michigan football staff during the 2023 season, which ended with the Wolverines going undefeated and winning the national championship. Then-head coach Jim Harbaugh denied any knowledge of the illegal scouting, but still received a three-game suspension from the Big Ten to conclude the 2023 regular season.

Micah Brown, a former Kansas football player who has directed documentaries for ESPN and Peacock, is directing the Stalions episode.

Netflix also announced the subjects of two other upcoming episodes of Untold. An examination of the murder of former star quarterback Steve McNair will air on Aug. 20, and a look at former star goalie Hope Solo's feud with U.S. Soccer will be available on Sept. 3.
