Kelvin Banks Jr., the left tackle for Texas, announced his decision to enter the 2025 NFL Draft on Sunday.

This year, the junior received both the Outland Trophy and the Lombardi Award. The Outland Trophy is awarded to the top interior lineman in college football, while the Lombardi Award is given to the best offensive or defensive lineman.

Banks is expected to be the first offensive lineman selected in the upcoming draft and is currently ranked as the No. 14 overall prospect by ESPN.com.

In a social media post, Banks expressed his gratitude for the University of Texas and its impact on his life. He also announced his decision to forgo his final year of eligibility and enter the draft, stating that he will always hold a special place in his heart for the Longhorn Nation.

During his time at Texas, Banks started in 42 games and helped the team secure the Big 12 Conference title in 2023 before their move to the SEC.

The Longhorns' season came to an end with a 28-14 loss to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff semifinals at the Cotton Bowl Classic. Along with Banks, offensive guard Hayden Conner and running back Jaydon Blue also declared for the draft on Sunday.
