Highly-rated recruit Dallas Wilson requests release from Oregon.
Florida may have another opportunity to secure the commitment of in-state star wide receiver, Dallas Wilson, who is a highly-rated prospect in the Class of 2025.
Wilson, who currently attends Tampa Bay Tech, officially signed with Oregon on December 4th during the early signing period. However, according to a report from 247Sports, Wilson has had a change of heart and is now requesting to be released from his commitment to Oregon.
The report states that Wilson's agency has indicated that he will choose Florida if he is granted his release from Oregon.

In the 247Sports composite rankings, Wilson is ranked as the fourth-best wide receiver and the 20th overall player in his class.
Many recruiting analysts had predicted that Wilson would switch his commitment from Oregon to Florida earlier this month. He had been committed to the Ducks since January 17, 2023, and had taken official visits to both Oregon and Florida in June 2024 and November 2024, respectively.
The clock is now ticking for Oregon as Wilson reportedly requested his release on Tuesday, giving the school 48 hours to respond.
Standing at 6-foot-3, Wilson is known for his speed and also excels in track and field, having been a member of his school's 4x400 relay team that qualified for the state competition during his junior year.
With Wilson potentially joining their recruiting class, Oregon currently holds the second-ranked class in the nation according to 247Sports, just ahead of Alabama.
