Georgia secures commitment from 4-star wide receiver Vance Spafford for 2026 class
Vance Spafford, the 10th-ranked wide receiver in the 2026 class, made a commitment to Georgia on Tuesday.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Spafford chose the Bulldogs over offers from Oregon, Nebraska, and Ole Miss.
During the first nine games of the regular season, the four-star prospect caught 44 passes for 826 yards and 15 touchdowns for Mission Viejo (Calif.), who currently holds a 10-0 record.
According to the 247Sports composite, Spafford is also ranked as the 10th best player in California and the 65th best player in the nation.
Spafford revealed to 247Sports that his visit to Athens solidified his decision to join Georgia.
"The football team consists of the top players," Spafford stated. "During my visit earlier this season, I was amazed by their exceptional offensive line and the amount of time Carson Beck had to throw. So, why not join a team that has a strong passing game? The program always attracts the best players and has a winning culture, which made it difficult for me to turn down."
"The SEC is home to the best football in the nation. Practicing against top players every day at Georgia prepares you to play against the best and is the closest experience to the NFL, which is my ultimate goal. I want to be challenged every day."
