Tiger Bech, the older sibling of TCU standout Jack Bech and a former wide receiver at Princeton University, was one of the victims in a mass truck attack in New Orleans on Wednesday morning.

According to Kim Broussard, the athletic director at St. Thomas More Catholic High School in Lafayette, Louisiana, where Bech attended high school, the 28-year-old died after being taken to a hospital with severe injuries from the incident, which authorities have labeled as a terrorist attack.

During his time at Princeton, Bech was a scholarship athlete and received All-Ivy League recognition twice for his skills as a return specialist. He recorded 53 receptions for 825 yards and three touchdowns throughout his college career.

After graduating in 2021, Bech was reportedly employed as a trader at the New York brokerage firm Seaport Global.

His younger brother, Jack Bech, who played for LSU before transferring to TCU for his final two years of eligibility, declared for the 2025 NFL Draft in December after a successful senior season with 62 catches for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns.

On Wednesday, Jack Bech shared a heartfelt message on social media, saying, "Love you always brother! You inspired me every day and now you'll be with me in every moment. I got this, family T. This is for us."

In light of the tragedy, the Sugar Bowl between Georgia and Notre Dame has been postponed from Wednesday to Thursday for public safety reasons, according to Sugar Bowl CEO Jeff Hundley.
