Colorado secures commitment from transfer quarterback Kaidon Salter
Kaidon Salter, the quarterback for Liberty, has committed to Colorado on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
Salter, who has one year of eligibility left, will take over for outgoing Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, the son of head coach Deion Sanders.
Under Salter's leadership, Liberty achieved an 8-3 record and secured a spot in the Bahamas Bowl against Buffalo on January 4th.
In 2023, Liberty had a perfect 13-0 regular season, earned the No. 23 spot in the final College Football Playoff rankings, and secured the school's first appearance in a New Year's Six bowl game.
Initially, Salter began his college career at Tennessee, but he was dismissed from the program in June 2021 before his freshman season due to an arrest for suspected marijuana possession during a traffic stop.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound player from Cedar Hill, Texas, was highly recruited out of high school, earning a four-star rating.
