Syracuse signal caller Kyle McCord is set to announce his entry into the NFL Draft, according to a report from ESPN on Friday. McCord, who topped the nation with 4,779 passing yards, will forgo his remaining college eligibility.

The senior quarterback surpassed DeShaun Watson's ACC record for most passing yards in a single season during his final year with the Orange. McCord transferred from Ohio State and only played one season at Syracuse.

Initially, McCord was seeking an NCAA waiver to play one more season after being limited to just five games as a freshman for Ohio State in 2021. However, he has now abandoned that pursuit.

During his time with Syracuse, McCord led the team to a 10-3 record and a win in the Holiday Bowl against Washington State. He also ranked fourth in the nation with 35 passing touchdowns.

McCord's previous stint at Ohio State saw him throw for 3,170 yards and 24 touchdowns in the 2023 season, helping the Buckeyes to an 11-2 record. In total, he has amassed 8,555 passing yards, 61 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions in four seasons, three of which were with Ohio State.
