"Announcement: Ivy League Teams to Join Upcoming FCS Postseason Tournaments"

Starting in 2025, according to ESPN, Ivy League universities will have the opportunity to vie for the national championship in the Football Championship Subdivision.

As per the report, the winner of the conference will automatically secure a spot in the FCS playoffs.

For years, football has been the only sport in which Ivy League schools were unable to compete for an NCAA national title.

The proposal, which was suggested by Ivy League student-athletes, was officially approved by the Ivy League Council of Presidents on Tuesday, as reported.

In 2024, Harvard (8-2), Dartmouth (8-2), and Columbia (7-3) all ended their Ivy League play with 5-2 records.
