No. 7 Houston Reschedules Utah Game to Wednesday Due to Harsh Weather Conditions
The No. 7 Houston Cougars have rescheduled their men's basketball game against Utah due to severe winter weather forecasts for the Houston area. Originally scheduled for Tuesday, the game will now take place on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Central time.
The forecasts predict up to six inches of snow and freezing temperatures in the area.
Houston, with a record of 14-3 and a 6-0 standing in the Big 12, holds the longest home-winning streak in the country with 32 consecutive wins at the Fertitta Center. They were set to face the Utes (11-6, 3-3) on Tuesday night.
In addition, the Big 12 women's basketball game between Texas Tech (13-7, 2-5) and Houston (5-13, 1-6) has been moved from 7 p.m. to 1 p.m. Central time on Wednesday to accommodate a doubleheader.
